Meet Candy

This is Candy

Candy is Chiclettah's fairy friend.
She always wears a pink dress.
Her long hair flows as she walks.

Chiclettah would like to have hair like Candy's.
But her mom thinks she's too young to have long hair.
"You would look too old!"
Chiclettah's mom would tell her.

"Someday, I will have long and flowing hair, too!
Just you wait and see!"
She thinks with conviction.

Hmm..

Chiclettah's Day Out

Chiclettah Plays

Chiclettah plays in the yard.
It is nice and sunny outside.

The flowers are blooming.
The skies are blue.
The tree is full of fruits.

Chiclettah plays with her jump rope.
She lets a few balloons off.
Colorful butterflies are dancing all around her.
A rainbow is in the horizon, too!
"What a nice day it is," the little girl thought.

Chiclettah's Makes A Cake

Chiclettah's Cake for MITA.

Mita is what she calls her aunt.
It's a combination of mommy and tita (aunt).
Chiclettah loves her Mita so much that
She drew her a cake.

Below are Chiclettah's words:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MITA!
I HOPE YOU WILL BUY ME A FABULOUS TURKISH DOLL!
I MISS YOU!

LOVE,
TATA

Chiclettah's Boat Day

Chiclettah Goes Boating

Chiclettah's Boat

It was a warm and sunny morning.
"A great day for boating," thought Chiclettah.
She likes everything pink.
(What girl does not, honestly?)
Hence, Chiclettah has a pink boat.
She brought along her friends, Mikaela and Bianca.

Clear skies told her to go ahead with the plan.
Chiclettah went island hopping.
Since she lived in an island nation,
Chiclettah was part-fish.
(OK, not really)
She loved the water.
She showed Mikaela and Bianca
her secret spots for snorkeling.

They were having a most enjoyable time when
Suddenly, the sunny sky turned grey.
Then, finally, it was black.
It's going to rain!
And it did.
"This is what I hate about living in the islands!"
Chiclettah was exasperated.
Weather changes faster than you can say
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
"It always rains on my parade,"
she thought sadly as she,
together with Mikaela and Bianca,
 pulled the pink boat ashore.

Chiclettah is an optimistic little girl.
"Tomorrow is still another day!" she thought happily
while munching on strawberry biscuits inside the
dry confines of her home.

Chiclettah's Family

This is a picture of Chiclettah's family.
She drew a picture of herself, together with her mom and her dad.
But why are there two girls in her drawing?
Chiclettah is an only child.
As you may notice, she likes to play pretend.
Meet Mariah, the other little girl in the picture.
No, Mariah is not Chiclettah's imaginary friend.
Chiclettah thinks Mariah is her twin.
So there's two of her!

She never fails to boggle my mind.
O.O

Chiclettah Goes Camping

Chiclettah's Camp

One day, Chiclettah decided she wanted to go camping.
She set up her tent and built a campfire.
Suddenly, the clouds shifted and it looked like rain was coming.
Soon, the sky was pouring heavily.
It was raining cats and dogs!

Chiclettah had no choice but to stay inside her tent.
"Blast that rain," thought the little girl.
"If only my friends were here, we'd tell scary camp stories."
Chiclettah stayed huddled under the covers of her sleeping bag.

Lightning stuck.
The thunder roared.
Inside, Chiclettah prayed.
.
Soon enough, all was quiet again.
When Chiclettah bravely went out,
she saw stars began twinkling in the sky.
"The rain let up.
Thank you for guiding me through the storm, Papa Jesus."

Chiclettah's Castle

Chiclettah thinks she's a princess.
This is her castle.
She drew a picture of herself wearing her tiara.
She may have short hair but she would love curls.
She calls her mother, Queen.
She calls her father, King.
They both call her "beautiful princess."

Have you ever played pretend and be someone else when you were 5?
If so, what or who did you pretend to be?
